We are all aware that climate change is here, it is dangerous to our communities, and we must do what we can to reverse and adapt to it. Cambridge Somerville for Change, along with the City of Cambridge and the Cambridge Climate Emergency Action Group (CEAG), is hosting "Green Future 2020" on Tuesday, March 29th, to discuss the Massachusetts Clean Energy and Climate Plan for 2020 The event will be held at the Cambridge Senior Center at 7pm. The plan seeks to put Massachusetts in a nation-leading position when it comes to clean sources of energy and reducing pollution. Come learn what you can do to help make sure we implement the plan and make the transition to a clean energy future!
Dr. David Cash of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs will present the plan and will discuss what how we can help the state lead along with Representative Will Brownsberger and a representative from the Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM).
'Sounds like a very interesting event. This is probably the most important issue of our time, and with the federal government and EPA falling back on the need for regulation, the state efforts have to move forward.
